I also had a problem where the program said that I needed a driver after upgrading DVD43 However I uninstalled the program and reinstalled and after re booting it works fine Check that all files have been uninstalled using either windows control panel or try using a good uninstaller I notice that with programs like Sony MG or MCAfee you need to download specific uninstallers to properly uninstall and then re install with no problems.
You're right. It's a piece of work. The retail programs AnyDVD and DVD Region + CSS Free do a much better job without the hassle.
