What is the difference between DVDFab HD decrypter and DVDFab Premium.. I mean do the free version have all the choices ex.. clone, full disk etc. I have the free trial version of the Premium and i'm having a great turnout but after it runs out i'm going to get the Free dvdfab hd decrypter but was wondering what the difference was.. Also, I just bought a new dell computer so do I need to update the firmware?
    Thanks

the difference is the free version ONLY rips the disc to the HDD, and the pay version can do the whole process.

probably not...just use high compatible media like verbatim or taiyo yuden and chances are you wont have a problem burning.

i personally swear by DVDFab HD Decrypter - the free one, with DVD Shrink and Nero Burning Rom. Any films that need too much compressing i use DVD Rebuilder, either way i do ALL ripping via DVDFab freebie version

I'm sure this seems like a funny question, but doesn't Dfab HD Decryptor burn in DVD 9 format? My understanding is that you use a DL DVD to burn with this format. Can you use just regular DVD -/+ R discs with this program? Or should I be using the Gold or Platinum editions? I want the best quality without having to buy DL discs.

for that you should use dvd-RB(free or pro) with HC encoder(free) for the best quality, when you have compression rates lower than 80%

and the free version of dvdFab HD decrypter ONLY rips to the HDD and the pay version does the whole process(rip, transcode,Burn) and can burn a dvd-5(SL disc) or a dvd-9(DL disc)
