I am pretty new to burning DVD's. We just got a new computer through a friend that builds them. We have a DVD+RW drive and I am using Sony DVD+R's to burn. The guy who built our computer installed DVDFab Platinum for us to rip and burn DVD's. All I want to do rip a DVD and produce an exact copy of it. The full disc, aspect ratio, and image quality. I have no problem ripping the DVD's. But I can only burn in the DVD5 mode, which says the quality is 53%. DVD9 mode is 100%, but whenever I put my blank DVD+R in to burn, I get a message saying that I need to insert a dual layer DVD into the drive, and that I only inserted a single layer DVD. What does this mean? Is there any way to burn a DVD with 100% of the image quality with the DVD+R's I have now? I would read the tutorial, but there is none..........
Do you have your quality set at DVD9 and are you using a Dual layer disk to backup to, sounds like you are trying to put it on a single layer disk. What media are you using? DVD Fab is a pretty easy program to operate.
