I decided to try my hand at creating a menu with a moving background on DVDLab Pro - so after creating my video file, I ran it through TMPgenc Plus to encode it to m2v format, then added it to the assets bin in DVDLab Pro. I dragged it onto the root menu as the help file indicated, and it appeared onscreen as the menu background. I then started creating text items to serve as clickable links to the main movie. So far, so good. However - when I clicked on simulation mode, the video background just stayed on the first frame, and didn't play. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
The simulation can't show the motion, until it's rendered as a full motion menu, not just a motion background.
Ah, cool - thanks for the info. I did a quick compile and played the files through WinDVD to see if it worked - and yes, the motion background worked fine. However, I now have a new problem. I set up a text link that plays the movie when clicked, but it just doesn't work when I use a motion background. It's as if it's part of the background, and I have no idea how to solve it.
Set your motion background, then set all your links, buttons, and everything else, then render it again, as a motion menu. This should make the links work.
