A difficult question, as there are several. I assume you are talking about DVD-Video format? In which case this should really be in the DVD-R or Audio forum - this one is for high resolution such as SACD/DVD-A really. But here we go. PAL countries. DVD-V disc MUST contain either 16/48 PCM, Dolby Digital in 2/0 or 3/2 or MPG-1 Layer 2 Audio. DTS is considered optional. A DVD cannopt contain DTS Audio alone, as it is out of spec. Bitrates are: PCM = 1.536MB/sec DD 2/0 = 0.192MB/sec DD 3/2 = 0.448MB/sec MPG = same as DD, near enough. Can be adjusted though, as can DD, but not recommended. NTSC Countries Same as PAL, but without the MPG option. Is that what you meant?
