   When I try to open the program, I get the message <DVDShrink v3.2.0.15 has stopped working>
   I'm using Win7

   I use this portable version on Win 7 64.
   It's set to use ImgBurn (if available)
   http://www.videohelp.com/tools?d=DVDShrink32_w_ImgBurn.rar
   
   Check Properties > Compatibility > Run in Win 7 mode.
