I bought a DVD Diamond Visison (DVDV807-03) Dec 2005 from Walmart ($35). In July 2006, my DVD player did not seem to work properly. It always display "loading". But it never loaded anything. Since it was over 3 months, Walmart asked me to contact the manufacturer.I contacted the manufacturer contact 1-866-622-1994. I was asked about the receipt. However, I lost my receipt. What should I do?
honcao, How long is the warranty for your player? On all the players that I own, there is a production date on the back. If the warranty is for 1 yr, and the production date is within the year, they should honor it even without a receipt. If you have to pay for shipping to get it fixed, it may not be worth it, as you only paid $35. BTW, I always tape my receipt to the owner's manual. All my owner's manuals are in one location. There is a possibility you have the "rating level" set ie: parental control. Try cancelling or changing the rating level.
