I have a emachine m6809 notebook running an athlon 3000+ 64 processor with 512 ram 80g hard drive,HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GWA -4040N DVD/CDR dvd burner multi format,it came with roxio easy cd &dvd creater 6,power dvd and norton av,and anti spam. I also have a desktop emachine and dvd x copy platinum works fine,I never updated the program, I installed it on my new notebook and it appears to work fine until finalizing the disk, the drive dosn't stop running I have to shut down/power up to get the disk out of the drive (now this is in simple mode) when i put the disk in my desktop to see whats on it the drive does the same thing as in the notebook. I have not tried in advanced mode. Maybe it doesn't support my drive??
That is very possible, that system seems quite new for the last release. I didn't even think it would work with a 64 processor. Have you tryed after copying the disk to go to your temp folder move the DVDxcopy folder somwhere else and burn the contents with Roxio 6? In Data disc menu select the Video and Audio folders created by DVDxCopy and burn the disc. This will work on players that can support DVD-R discs. Other palyer you should use Nero to burn the disc as it uses Disc at Once burning. Roxio still only uses Tack at Once, for DVD's.

I have the exact same problem; suddenly started happening just few days ago -- now I can't burn anything. What exactly *is* this vso14? Would like to try it, but I can't find out anything about it with google or other searches... ...and I'd rather not beg folks here to e-mail it to me, if there are alternatives. Is it perhaps somehow related to VSO Software, and their CopyToDVD program?...
The Vso14 is a "Pattin Couffin version 14" For DVDXCOPY. I think this is how the software communicates with the actual burner. Its a writer driver. You can only install the VSO14 if you have DVDXCOPY installed on your system. Otherwise it says "error" when trying to install. Sorry I've been inactive on this Thread, I can send the VSO14 with installation instructions to whoever wants it. Private message me with your email address and i will send it to you.
don't feel to bad if it doesn't work on a new system. My sytem is 4 years old and I can't get get my DVD X COPY to work either.
