i am using version 4.0.3.8 and 4.0.4.15 and when i use the .15 version to rip it makes the file 2.11GB in stead of the normal 4.36 made by .8 i contacted dvdxcopy and they set me up to re-download version .15 BUT i am still having the same problem
can anyone tell me what is going on.

Will it do this in simple mode? And in advanced mode are you selecting all the titles?

I never use simple mode just advanced and that is with all titlesets selected. The dvd won`t even play after it`s finished in my computer drives or my home theater player.I just tried using SIMPLE MODE and it works fine i selected entire DVD and the file was 4.16GB

So simple mode does work ... that's good. I've asked 321sucker(used to be a 321studios tech) if he's heard of this happening. I believe your the first for me, that I've seen this problem.

Until ya get this figured out, you could try DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter(both free) if you haven't tried them already.

Quick question ... you've check the "use compression" box, right? I mean, your not trying to use no compression and do the split disc option, are you?

4.0.3.8 has the ripper and 4.0.4.15 is RF, so what gives?

During the installation, did u overwrite the original platinum folder or did u install RF in a seprate location?
Verify by checking the 321studios folder in program files. Their will be two folders if installed correctly. Platinum and Platinum RF.

Is it over compressing a particular movie or all of them?

Check the media, may be a bad batch.

Check the platinum RF folder and get the version to the patin-couffin engine, under pcsetup.

Their r more resolutions related to this problem, but these r a few.

I think i might have figured it out i un-installed both programs and re-installed them installing version .15 first them .8 and then i noticed rf had no dvi folder and .8 did so i made that folder, then i noticed that .15 was using .8 folders and .8 was using .15 folders i changed that and they both seem to be working just have to copy the bouducon.dll file to the RF version and hopefully everything will back to normal
