Can burn only DVD+R/W disks all others eject with media not recognized. 321Studio support has ask about 5 times who makes the disks among others was SONY. Would like to be able to burn -R, +R, and -R/W. THe burner is capable but DVDXCOPY is not for me.
Have attempted to work with 321Studio up to an Assistant Manager. What a waste of time

    Thanks for any info.

    Hi
I owe Sony DRU-500a and i'm having no problems
either with DVDXCopy or Express.Try to un-install everything with Direct CD drivers(DLA,
    RecordNow,MusicMatch,Windows Media Player etc.)
    I'm burning -/+ R and -/+ RW without a problem.

    Win98Se
    Pentium III 800MHz
    DVDX Copy 1.52 Express 2.0
    Sony DRU-500a firmware 2.0e

    Hello Rudolfo2
I received a Sony DRU500AX recently. I am running WindowsXP on my AMD XP1700, 512M Ram, Samsung DVD Reader, Sony DRU500AX DVD Writer, 280GB HDD machine.
Last night, I've downloaded a trial version of DVDXCopy Express and copy my Shrek DVD. I received Reading error. I've tried with other DVD and received the same error. I also tried with the RecordNow software which supply with my Sony drive. I installed everything except LBA software.
Should I uninstall everything except DVDXCopy Express as you suggested?
    Or what should I do?
Please any help will be greately appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Hi
I have switched in meanwhile to P4/2.5 GHz.
My DVXCopy Express is working with no problem.
Have you checked DVD for scratches ??This week
I was copying Godfather box set;1&2 were Ok
    than i couldn't copy DVD 3.I've un-installed
software few time, than i remembered to check
for scratches and there they were a lot of them.
Have you enabled DMA ???Check your control panel/hardware menager for any warnings !!!
    To check for bad sectors on any DVD use Sony;
it will report bad sector. It has done it with
    my Godfather 3 disk.
I don't think that any trial version is fully
operational even they claim the contrary.
To copy DVD's all you need is Expree software.
    Regards
