Getting through the settings fine but shortly after i push the big green button,an error comes up: Error occured reading sectors. i am a newbie so if anyone could help me i would greatly appreciate it. please explain help well because as i have said i am definately a newbie at this. Thanx
Well you get this message with all your DVDs or you just get it for one disc? It must be some kind of protection or even a scratched disc. If the disc is clean, try playing the DVD for about 30sec with PowerDVD or any other DVD player you have installed and try again.
Most likely the error is caused by the disc you are burning. Sometimes if there are the smallest scratches or imperfections on the bottom of the disc, it cannot be read. Most of the errors i've had regarding sectors are caused by dirty or scratched discs. Check your disc to make sure it is clean. If it is you shouldn't have any problems.
it might have to do with setting your region for the burner. i forget where you do this, but you must have the region set if it hasn't been set before.
tsdj, XCopy requires maximum resources, turn of all programs running in the background msconfig)and re-boot system. Go to task manager shut down all but basics, call a girlfriend and chat for awhile while Xpress runs - solves that error message most of the time - If that fails, then head to - http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com/ "P"
