Hey everyone, I hope someone can help me out, im pretty stuck right now. I've used DVDX Copy Express and Gold to burn movies for over 2 years now. They've worked fine on my VAIO laptop using Windows Media Player. Just recently, the burned movies are no longer being recognized by my computer and will not play under and playback software, but a REAL (unburned dvd) will playback fine. However, if I put the burned movie into my friends DELL Inspiron laptop, the disc is recognized instantly and playback is perfect! Anyone know what's going on here? Any help would be great. Thanks
Have you have changed media and your Sony Vaio doesn't like it? I also have a stand alone Sony player that cannot play a few dvds made with DvdXCopy. The problem is not recognition, but the dvd skips through the chapters to the end of the dvd in less than 1 minute. It is problematic with many Sony players. BTW There is an DvdXCopy forum http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com/
I first started out using Fuji Film media and switched to Memorex...the memorex dvds play fine but the Fuji Film have been giving me trouble now. All of the DVD's work fine on my stand alone DVD player and on my Friends Dell Inspiron. Any ideas now? I really appreciate you trying to help me out.
You've updated your firmware? I would assume that the Fujifilms are 8X? In actual fact they will burn at 12X on a 16X burner (with DvdXCopy). You will have to hunt around for 4X. I personally would stay away from Memorex, you never know what you are going to get. Go to an independant computer shop, they might be able to locate some slower media for you. They can sometimes get media (inside dibs) that the normal consumer can't. Just remember if they do, return the favor and recommend the store to all your friends. Perhaps Ireland or Baldbear can give you some more input over at: http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com/
