Well all I'm still trying playing around with different softwares. I just ran across a problem. My dvdxrescue is not working properly. I use this program on disc with scrathes and skips and pauses. Depending on how bad the disc is I can replace it using this software. Like I said its not working properly, does anyone know of a replacement/alternative?
How is it not working? Well basically, DVDXRescue works off the fact that DVD-ROM and DVD RW drives arent as picky about scratches and other things as DVD Stand Alones are. I see it as pointless software to be honest!
Dela, I don't use XCopy products much anymore, but DVDXRescue is the only software I've come across that will make a great backup of a messed up disc(and I mean a f**k'd up disc!!) nuburn619, Are you using the seperate Rescue program or the one that comes with Platinum? And what version.
flip, ye sbut it doesnt beat the fact that its just because the DVD Drive can read better than a standalone laser! Therefore most other duplication methods woulod work the exact same. Now one thing it might have over others is the abaility to partially copy a disc and leave out areas that are truely warped but i dont know, i think i would prefer to just backl up all my dvd's as soon as i buy them than have ojne with missing area's!
