DviX tester

    Is their any way to test to see if an *.avi file is a DivX file or not?

    As in whether it is a DivX media format file or as in whether the video is DivX or not? Numerous apps that will check the FourCC, some will also check the user data. Try GSpot. Chances are though that the video is Xvid.
