DVR-105 Firmware upgrade?

    How do I find out if I need to upgrade my firmware for DVR-105? I just got it today, and I've never had a dvd burner before. You people made me do it!! :p_X_X_X_X_X_[small]Newbie.[/small]

    get the version 1.33 firmware from this site: http://www.rpc1.org Not sure exactly where on the site it is, but they "updated" the firmware so it is region free, lets you rip up to 12X, lets you burn 1x media at 2x, and a few more things.

    I found 1.33 region free firmware. Launched .bat file and went through two warnings. I hesitated, but went on anyway. There was no confirmation that it was completed, but the drive seems to work fine. How do I know if it took?

    open my computer. right click on your burner and goto properties. should tell you the firmware version somewhere in there. if it is 1.33, your good.

    use nero tool that loads with nero! it will show you your firmware!
