I have just got my pioneer DVR-106D drive and have been told that you can flash the drive so that it will record at 2x on 1x media, is this correct ?. If so whats the best firmware to use. Also can i make the drive multiregion, or do i need to ? My drive currently has the latest release of firmware from pioneer (1.07) Can i also ask what anyone thinks is the best media to use in this drive that gives the best results on players.
