What kind of files did you record too ? Usually you can use a video converter to convert to mpeg2 like Movavi video converter then burn with Nero, or transcode and burn with Nero and be done. Goodluck

Sorry dude, still doesn't tell me what the file extension is. I will have a look around the net and see what the Microsoft Recorded TV Show saves the file as. M
MCE records in .dvr.ms format and yes I am trying to find a program also to convert. Digital Media Converter 2.75 says it does but it did not convert mine, windows media center says it can burn cd using nero, but left it for 7 hours and still at 0%. With Digital Media Converter I got "partially converted" meaning there was a pause in the program which causes DMC to stop converting, I need program I can edit and take the 1st few frames out, which are advertising, and Nero or any part of Nero 7 Enhanced does not open .dvr.ms files. So any help appreciated.
You shouldn't need to actually convert anything, meaning you can keep the original quality. DVR-MS isn't a video format. It's a container. Tht means you just need to demux the video and audio streams from it or move them to a different container. If you captured with MCE your DVR-MS file should contain MPEG-2 content. VideoReDo Plus can read them and allow you to save to a generic MPEG-2 file that can be used by other applications. I haven't tried it because I don't actually use my MCE box for recording - just playback, but it should work fine.
