Hi. I'm planning on purchasing a DVD burner. Most dvd-burners in the market support E-IDE/ATAPI interface. My motherboard is preety old.. So I was wondering is there a way for me to check if my motherboard supports E-IDE/ATAPI drives? Or can I just plug in an E-IDE/ATAPI drive into a normal IDE/ATA interface? Please, reply soon as possible.

ddp is on track with the up the ram suggestion. Some drives require 512 as a minimum to operate properly. They will operate on less, just make the system slower.

This is what my LG system specs says are minimum.
