    Hello,

I finally got my e-bay account set up and put up a Core 2 Quad Q6600 up for sale.
    I have a few questions:
a.) Do I send the cpu to the buyer first or does the buyer pay me first?
b.) What is the % that e-bay keeps? (I tried to read their chart but its too confusing for me). BTW, the cpu will go for ~$150 US
c.) Within how many days do I send the cpu after the auction has closed?

I really appreciate all your help. This information will help me out tremendously!

    -thanks

get paid 1st before sending package to buyer. something like that should have insurance on it. if being paid by personal cheque wait til it clears then send package. i've been buying model warships off that site since last october. the % i do not know as have not seen that chart as i don't sell stuff yet.

    Make sure paypal clears first.

send package with confirmation of receipt and Insurance.

the % on 150.00 dollars should be a little less than 10.00 dollars

yes wait till its payed in full and yes sent it out ASAP(after payed) you get better feedback that way

    Ship only after payment

I have found mandatory insurance on all items is a must,I have done selling and at a near 40% fail rate on non insured items.

Paypal covers most disputes quickly, Ebay itself is non helpful in nearly everything.

you are looking at a cluster fck of charges unless you can price gouge on a collectors item..or sell in volume to maintain a income.

Ebay is becoming more and more a bloated garage sell, they should halve listing fees or 25$ a year subscription with a 50% discount on fees..
