I want to buy a nintedo ds for pokemon and it seems to me that pokemon will probably not for the dsi so I found this ds ice blue for $129.99 free shipping from hong kong. Plus protecter and pouch and it seems cheap but do u think its reliable as in the user? Link here

I dont understand your first line about pokemon (very bad english)
But they cost $129 new. Why not just go to a local store and buy a new one, and not have to worry about weather you will ever get it or not?

I mean you are saving a few bucks but is it really worth it? I could see if it cost $100 or something. Maybe I am missing something. But to me its worth the few extra dollars to walk out of a store with it in my hand.

Exactly I had just bought another ds-lite, a DS Cobalt Blue awhile ago for $129 at walmart
I had never seen the ice blue one though.

Why buy on Ebay when its the same price locally.

he has an awful lot of negatives in the last 12 months, but I would just read through some to see the reason.

A lot of the times it is just newbies who leave them for really no acceptable reasons.
But then again he has sold a lot of items also and lots of happy customers.

That has been my experience on Ebay.

well that link actually shows the true color of ice blue according to other images I checked on google.

Do you live over there, is that why you prefer to buy from hong kong

At least the last guy has 100% feedback

Then just go to wal-mart and buy a ds-lite or use bestbuy to purchase one.

I have purchased from hong kong on ebay, but usually anything like memory cards I will not buy from there even if they have 100$ feedback.

The one thing to remember on ebay is too purchase with paypal, and if you don't recieve the item within less than a few weeks from overseas is to " fill out the item not received" form.

I have had to do this a few times and either the item does show up or I get my money back.

The choice is yours, we can only offer help and suggestions.

I've ordered two items from Hong Kong before. The second ended up being a counterfeit product. Luckily it was only in the $35-ish US range. Buyer beware. Hong Kong is good for buying cheap no-name stuff but if you want a genuine product (like a Nintendo DS), you should be weary. Lots of dodgy merchants over there. Not worth risking over a color that you really want. Best get your favorite color of what's available domestically. The Ice Blue is my favorite as well (If and when I decide to pick up a DSi in the future, I'll be getting a matte blue. I like the light blues) but I really like my Crimson/Black model.

I know someone that has bought a "New" unit from Hong Kong, the only genuine part was the main board, everything else inc the case was a cheap immitation, the worrying thing was the battery and charger, If you are that desperate then give it a go, but if it ends up exploding or burning the house down dont complain.

Cheap stuff in Hong Kong and China does not comply with any electrical safety, at the very least only charge it when you are around

Yeah I remember seeing some USB AA/AAA chargers in HK selling for cheap but then I thought, "do I want to trust some cheap little charger from HK in my desktop's usb port?" Be very wary of what you buy from there. It's a good place for buying flash carts and cheap no-name stuff that won't potentially blow things up but don't get anything advertised as genuine there ever. And especially don't get anything that can potentially be dangerous due to lax electrical safety standards. After being sold a counterfeit product, HK retailers have left a bad taste in my mouth. Unfortunately they are allowed to get away with that kind of shady business, especially when swindling foreigners abroad, whereas we have laws here that protect the consumer from being similarly swindled by retailers and manufacturers (our consumer rights laws are far from perfect but there's no comparison with China/HK).

    Buy from Walmart.

In two DS Lites I bought the bottom screen was slightly crooked. Just bought them back to walmart and told them what is wrong and easy exchange.

$10 tax in NC but well worth it to have a genuine DS Lite instantly and walmart's return/exchange policy and Nintendo's 1 year warranty.

I'd play it safe and just buy it in the US or some other reputable online store.

I tried displex on my psp and phone, but I don't think it was very good.

I have heard applesauce polish for ipod is good, or using Brasso - silver polish.

Wal-mart should have it. Home-depot or any hardware, some grocery stores may have it.

Just check the hardware department or cleaning section.
Comes in a tin container, its blue and white I think.
