Yeah, I know that it is a pain to edit frames in an avi individually cause people told me, but I wanna do it anyway. So what I wanna know is how do I go about doing this, and what programs to use. Also, can i only edit the frames I want, cuse in total there are only 500 I need to edit out of a whole anime ep. Please help me I would appreciate it.

What do you mean by "edit"?
You actually want to change the contents of the video, or you want to cut a portion from a longer video?

If you want to change the contents, get virtualdub to extract the frames, change them in a graphics editor, and save as animated gif or avi if possible (Paintshop Pro and Animation Shop will do this).
Reinsert the new avi into the original with virtualdub.

    VirtualDub, not VirtualDubMod?

and by edit I mean like you would a pic in paint shop or something so as to manually remove noise and such that a noise filter doesn't get. or to manually correct color.

Doesn't matter as both can save out image sequences and both can open them to convert back to avi.

but when i save in image sequence, can i open up the image frames and edit them in Adobe Photoshop or just Paint, and when I save, if I save with the exact name and overwrite it, will that bmp or jpg frame still be counted as one when I open with the rest of them in VirtualDubMod?
