I'm not a complete noob at this, but I'm about to edit a DVD's VOB files, you know, add scenes and audio tracks to a movie using Adobe Premiere, but I'd like to know if it is possible to, after all the conversions and edits, achieve the same level of quality as the original. If so, could you please give me a tips, and tell me what programs I should use? Thanks in advance.
If you have VOB files, I would try Mpeg Video Wizard DVD. You can do all editing there and export. It will not re encode mpeg compliant files, just parts you edit.
