OBJECTIVE: To edit VTS VOB files from a VIDEO_TS folder without losing quality.

I can use Mpeg Video Wizard to edit the VOB files but I can only save it as an MPEG file.

This is a long-shot, but can I use my edited Mpeg2 files and name it with the ...VTS_01_4 file name, for example?

    Or....

Do I have to convert the Mpeg2 back to VOB? If so, how can I do that and can it be done without losing quality?

    Thank you very much

You cant just rename the mpeg. You will have to use a video authoring program. You can find one in the AD download page. As for the quality it should stay the same as long as the mpeg2 has the same bitrate as the original vob. I think most vob's are 9800 bps.

After you do your editing select Save As Type ...."Automatic VOB". You can select this from the dropdown list
