Anyone have any idea where I might be able to obtain an EEPROM for a 1.5 version Xbox. I flashed an Xbox with the wrong EEPROM, as I thought it was a 1.6 because of its manufacturing date. I tried to recover it by installing a SpiderChip and a Xenium ICE chip, i can get a green front LED but all I get is a solid black screen. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance
You mean you flashed the BIOS! EEPROM won't make any difference with version! Your TSOP is corrupt and needs to be reflashed. When the the solid green comes on, you have no audio, no video and your DVD drive won't open, correct?
Trust me here, I just need an Xbox Vers 1.5 EEPROM, I have ModChips that will overide the bios operation so a TSOP flash is not the issue. My post is not in reference to the recovery procedure but rather where to find such an EEPROM.
You guys gotta be kidding me, all the people in this forum each day and no one has a 1.5 version Xbox. Its in your E folder if you have a modded 1.5 Xbox named EEPROM.bin. I'd hate to trash an Xbox simply because I was unable to obtain one file, especially since quite a few have used my softmod disc to fix their Xboxes.
Happy to report I recovered it, I used the blank 1.1 - 1.5 EEPROM that comes within Config Magic. Installed a Xenium Ice Chip, used EEPROM Tools within the Xenium OS, flashed the blank EEPROM, then backed it up, created a retail Kernel TSOP flash, then booted to the MS Dash, inserted Mech Assault and softmodded the Xbox and the removed my Xenium Chip.
