i have a questions does anyone know how to add effects to a reciever? i want to add the arena surround sound format on my reciever, how do you add effects to a stereo reciever?
I am assuming that your reciever doesn't have DSP? Without an internal conversion, you will need an add-on unit. I have an add-on Yamaha surround sound processor from about 15 years ago that allowed me to do this with hardware, but now I would use my computer's audio card to add the effects and then connect it to the reciever. I guess you could get some sort of reverb/echo box to produce some sort of arena effect. AWDriven.
