I downloaded the Atari 2600 emulator and FTP'd it to the emulator folder on my xbox.No problems. But when I go to the emulator menu on my EvoX dashboard the Atari 2600 is not listed.I have checked the emulator folder on my hdd and the 2600 file is in there.Any help getting the title to apear in my emulator menu would be greatly appreciated.

I know this may seem like a dumb question but....did you download a PC emulator or one compiled for the Xbox. Do you have an XBE or EXE file?

Did you put the files inside of another folder of the Emulator directory? Example: (E:\Emulators\Atari2600\default.xbe)
I never had a problem with the emulators like the one your having. I guess maybe try downloading a different emu and see what happens. Besides, why an atari emu? I only use nintendo and ps1 ones. And occasionally mame-ox

if the Xbox is not set up to auto add links for the programs that you FTP to the Xbox then it will not show up on the menu and you will have to edit the EvoX INI file and manually add a link to the folder with the emulator onto the main menu or emulator menu.
It is a bit confusing to do this at first but a piece of cake after you learn how. It is basically to FTP a copy of the EvoX.INI file to your PC, open it with notepad, then find where it lists all the other emulators and just add a line of text.
You have to match the file name and location EXACTLY for this to work. like E:\Emulators\Atari2600\default.xbe but you can browse the xbox HDD and find all that out real easy. then after your done rename it so it matches the current file in the xbox exactly and FTP it back replacing the current version.
This is also handy because you can add links to your main menu for any program you use a lot and save yourself having to go through 2-3 menu's to get to it.

hey uummm, i just told you above.
You FTP a copy of the EvoX.INI file to the PC and edit it in notepad.
You will have to add the whole path that will direct the dashboard to the emulator folder. Once you do that then replace the original with the edited version you should have a link to your emulator folder on the main menu if done correctly.

and some additionaol advice, notice i always say a copy of the file.
You do not want to go messing around with the original because if you screw up you will have no way to replace it easily.
If you FTP a copy to your PC, then make a copy of that file you will always have one you are editing and one original in case things go wrong.

i think you can use the file browser in EvoX to find the EvoX.INI file, If i remember correctly it should be in C:
Then make a copy of it and store it in E: or something.
Then when you open up your FTP browse on the Xbox side to where you made your copy of the file and FTP it to the PC.

Or you may even be able to download the latest version of EvoX and the just make o copy of the INI file inside that.
Edit it and then FTP it to the Xbox.

OK...I have FTP'd a copy of the EvoX.ini file to my pc.I have edited the file to include two emulators that I have loaded on my xbox hdd the Atari 2600 and the Pscxbox.I am ready to FTP the edited file back to my xbox. When I FTP the edited EvoX.ini file to my xbox do I just put it in the folder with the orginial EvoX.ini file? Will the edited file overwrite the orginial? Or do I have to delete orginial and replace it with the edited version.I have made a copy of the orginial file just in case. Thanks
