Hi guys, I'm hoping someone can help me out here because this problem is doing my head in :(

I usually use avi2dvd to encode my movies, and up until recently it's been perfect. However, no matter what encoder i now use in avi2dvd, the dvd plays back pixelated on a dvd player. You only notice it during scenes where there is a lot of movement, for example fight scenes, car chases...you get the idea. If played on a PC it plays fine. This has happened no matter what source the avi is, whether dvdrip or anything else, pal or ntsc. It's annoying because I've ended up wasting a lot of dvds as the only way i can test the output is by burning it and playing it on a dvd player, only to find out it's no good.

Can someone please tell me what's causing it? Is it maybe something to do with the codecs I'm using? Like i said it used to work fine before, i've since had to reformat my pc and reinstall all software. Any advice would be really appreciated...

What is the source aspect ratio, framesize, and framerate?
What is your destination type (PAL or NTSC)?
    What bitrate are you using?
How long is the video (running time).

Have you considered using a DVDRW so you don't waste so many disks?
Have you considered testing your compiled DVD in a good software player before burning?
