Hi. I encoded a movie that is a DivX .avi file to an .mpg file with TMPGEnc. The video is perfect. But after 13 min of the movie the audio gets choppy and jumpy. I have no clue what the problem is. Im new at this. Here is a little about the .avi file 700MB (Audio)- MPEG-1 Layer 3 , 128 kb/s , 44100 Hz (Video)-23.976 FPS , Divx Codec , 480 x256 979 kb/s Please Help Me Thank You
OK, try again but this time download VirtualDUB and do the following first. 1. open the file in virtualdub 2. click video - direct stream copy 3. click audio - full processing mode 4. click audio - compression. Select no compression pcm and click ok. 5. click file - save avi Now the avi you save will be bigger than the original avi but will have uncompressed sound and TMPGEnc works better with uncompressed sound!
hey thanks for getting back to me i tried what you said to do. And when i save the avi an error pops up and says: No audio decompressor could be found to decompress the source audio. So what should i do now. Please Help
Hey i just downloaded the avi2vcd. And i decompressed it with that. Im currenlty encoding it with now. I'll let you know if it works. But if it doesn't, what could i do to get the virtualDub to work? Thanks
Well the avi2vcd didn't work. Except this time after 13mins of the movie the video turns white for a few second. Then it comes back and the a/v is out of sync. It must be a bad frame or something messing it all up. Is there a way to fix it??
what if the file comes out like 2 gb will it still fit on two cdr after you split it with tmpgenc ps length of movie 2 hours
On a vcd it won't. too bad do you know where i can get 99min cdr's. Ive heard about em but never found any.
well if its mpeg1 vcd something is wrong cause that filesize is way too high. I'm afraid you'll have to try encoding again! this time click setting and click the advaced tab, select source range then double click source range and then click "move to start frame" click "set start frame" click "move to end frame" and click "set end frame" then click ok and try the encoding again!
I ran the virtual dub ran tmpegenc then when i drop the mpeg in nero it says STREAM ENCODING INVALID what is this? i keep getting it on avi clips and on dvd rips what am i doing wrong in tmpgenc
Yes. I tried it with the wizard and without it. I haven't found a good tmpgenc guide for avi to mpeg if you know a good one hook me up. ive tried a lot of em but they dont work
