When encoding a DivX file in TMPGEnc for burning to a DVD, the encoded file has only static for sound.

Any ideas of why this could be?

I hope this question hasn't been asked before. If it has, forgive me.

It could be that tmpgenc does is not properly handle
variable bitrate audio. Extract the audio to an umcompressed format
and use it as the input to tmgenc, which will recompress it
    properly.

Thank you for the response. I appreciate it.

Forgive me though, if I ask if you can point me to a tutorial or a thread here where it explains how to do that?

    Hello -
    use Virtualdub.
Open your source file in Virtualdub, set audio/full processing,
    File save wave.

Use the wav as input to Tmpgenc.
