    Hello people!

I have been converting DVDs to VCDS with CD-R and CD-RWs for about a year. Prior to becoming a member to this great site I was using SmartRipper to rip, DVDx to encode, and either Alcohol 120 or Nero to burn it. I have tried to encode with TMPGEnc but it takes quiet awhile compared to DVDx (longest it took was 2 hours). I was wondering what other programs I could use to encode a DVD.

Also I read the chapters forum and I have been using Nero to make create chapters, which also allows you to create a custom menus with animation and all. However, in order to burn the project, Nero encodes it AGAIN. Is there a way to fix this problem (I recall seeing this discussed before but I had trouble finding this topic)? Also, is there a way to add music to the menu screen (I was able to add music to selected scenes in the movie, but could not figure out how to add music to the menu screen). I apologize for the length post and if this has been discussed already.

Try TMPGEnc DVD Source Creator or TMPGEnc DVDAuthor, I have used both and still do on a regular basis. If you have a dvd burner and want to make 1 to 1 copies of stuff you own. Try Clone DVD, or DVDXcopy Platinum. Also a must have is ANYDVD, which will help you remove Copywrite protection on DVD's
