Hi, I'm using the add subtitles to avi file guide here at after dawn. And I've noticed that the subtitles are out of sync with the video. (I know enough of the language and the video doesn't match up). So I was wondering if there was a way to delay the start of the subtitles so that they match up better. By the way I'm using virtual dub.
Assuming the source subtitles are a .srt file and the original AVI file is available. Run Subtitle Workshop and load the .srt file;the video loads automatically (if they are in the same folder). Highlight the first sub line number (Num 1). Play the video and figure where the first sub should come in. Pause/adjust the video at this point and press Ctrl+1 (or the button, third from right, under the video window). Highlight the last sub line number and repeat for the last video point. Press Ctrl+2 (or the button, second from right, under the video window). This changes the .srt times to match the video times shown on the screen. Set the video back to the first sub, line up the video and check sync. Either 'Save' or 'Save as' the .srt file (SubRip). http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/Other-VIDEO-Tools/Subtitle-Workshop.shtml
