Help! Ive been looking for software that I can record information into that varies from images, text, tables and graphs that performs in similar nature to an encyclopedia like Encarta. I know that wiki is out there but Im not a programmer and also I do not want a web based encyclopedia. Ive been searching for years trying to find something that I could simply load up, add an article or two, save and close for later or update existing articles easily (add images, more data etc). I have no idea how to search for something of this nature as I do not know what it is to be called. If anyone knows of any software capable of this please let me know where I can find it. Anything less than $2000 that works well would be acceptable. Please help!
try downloading one of those digital manuals that are in pdf, notice how on the left of adobe reader there is some categorization tools that kind of proccess might sufice for what you are trying to do
Thats not quite the level of control and organization Im looking for. I tried using himalsoft dictionary because I could catagorize items by alphabetical order or by subject but its editing powers are garbage and it cannot support images or search. Also you cannot reorder items in the archive should it be updated at a later date (which it always is). If anyone knows of software that can do this, or even what you would call software like this please tell me! thanks.
