I'm looking for a program that will let me run my ripped CD's .wav files through an equalizer before they're converted to .mp3. A lot of my older CD's (bands from the late 70's, etc) sound much better when I play them back through a tweaked EQ. I'd like to convert them to .mp3 permanently EQ'd so they sound like it on a stereo without an EQ. I found one program (Mp3 Doctor) that does this, but it is very unstable - crashes all the time. Thanks, Mike
try Audacity...it is a free audio editor, and I'm pretty sure it has an equalizer in it, but not positive (have not used this app before). You should be able to tweak your audio then export to wave and compress to mp3.
