Hi! One of my friends did a mistake, and he formatted the C drive of his softmodded Xbox (UnleashX). After that, "Error 13 appeared to him". He brought his Xbox to me so I could try to fix it, and when I plugged it, "Error 16" appeared. Here is a list of what I have to fix the problem: - 2 softmodded Xbox (UnleashX, one working, one not) - Evox Boot CD - No modchips, only softmods I don't know what's the IP adress of the broken Xbox. But I can FTP into mine (the working one). Now, the broken Xbox won't even read a game, when I put Evox Boot Cd in it, it doesn't boot, even if I put a game! I tried Auto-Installer Deluxe, but the error 16 message comes up before the CD boots ... How can I repair the broken Xbox? Thanks a lot! Mike
hey i have exactly what the guy above has... same problems EXACTLY EVERYTHING and slayers evox autoinstaller aswell.... i bought a spider chip solderless that is.. how do i get the xbox to work again after i install it... please tell me what to do after installation and exactly how this works thanks so much
also.. i have another xbox reading error 21 it wont play any sort of disc either.. could i fix it the same way as the way u fix the error 16 if so.. great.. please respond soon
arg i have the same problem. Funny thing is i already have an xbox chip installed. No matter what i do i get the error 16 message. I've tried slayers autoinstaller. No luck. I know it works though from a rare incident. Doesnt happen anymore. Nothing i do works. The cd's dont boot. The dash dont boot. just the damn error screen. i dunno what to do. Can anyone help me?
The hd is not the problem. Error 16 has something to do with a dashboard. My chip works no problem. It's just the error and a dashboard.
well if u cant run a boot disc then u cant fix ur hd. its that simple. jus get a new hd and put someone elses C drive on it w/ xboxhdm.
alright man telling me to get a new hd when my current one is perfectly capable is not helping. there is a solution around this. I wouldnt have posted if there wasnt.
OT: i'm getting an error 7 code which identifies it as a HDD error. but i too haven't ever messed w/ my HDD. i have an executor (version ?) chip installed. any solutions? thanx.
are you sure you havent done ANYTHING to it? i mean even the slightest thing? If you have anything other info lemme know it might help.
no, i don't believe anything happened to it (drops, etc). it actually belongs to my 15 y.o. son. what is happening is that when he/ we turn on the console, it makes a clicking/grinding noise, which indicates we will get the error message. but there are times that if we continuously turn on and off repeatedly, it will go thru and then he can play a game.
