error 13

i was trying to restore my dashboard using the backup now i get error 13 if i try to go to my dashboard

 

Ok ! You can get more help with more info. What mod did you use,what steps did you take to remove it , do you still have the disk you modded it with, can your box still run games ? The more info you give the more you are likely to get back .

 

I got the same problems.

I cant play games or get my dashbord up.

Any ideas?

 

your going to need a new ms dash because the softmod deleted your backup or reinstall the softmod and keep the softmod.

 

Where might I find a Ms dash? and how to put it on the xbox?

 

U can find one at xbins or download the aid v2.11, i think that has one.

 

Oh and put them as a back up then reinstall them.

wow thats alot of replies. i havent checked back or responded in cause i fixed it my self. I did back up my hard drive and i had the original hard drive data saved to my pc so i ftp my xbox wiped the hard drive and put the backp on it

 

smart, i have my hdd backed up on my computer 2.. i have my whole C and E drived backed up and i made xtra copyes of my EEPROM just incase i need it again.. i've unlocked my hdd once and it messed it up (thank god my friend has a mod chip or it would be a $150 paper wieght) also i replaced the wrong file and got error 21 so my friend used my eeprom and reformated my hdd to my xbox and locked it with the hdd program thing we found on xbins.. ummm xboxhdm thats it helped alot! it makes an iso of you hdd and ur eeprom and then when u hook ur xbox hdd to your computer and burn that iso to a disc.. then run the disc while ur xbox hdd is plug into your computer as the only hdd it come up with linux n stuff then it'll let you unlock/lock it reformat it and alot of junk like dat..
