My xbox is modded with a no-solder smartXX v.3 chip
I flashed it with evoxm8plus bios
I have the original hard drive still in the xbox.

For about two weeks now I have been using XBMC as my main dash, and playing backup games off burned dvds. It was working fine. Today, one of my games froze in the middle of loading a new scene, and when I rebooted my xbox it came up with Error 16.

I read all I could about error 16 and so I re-flashed my bios, and put in auto-installer deluxe disk that I had originally used to install my dashboards.

The xbox boots to the EvoX/Xbox Microsoft screen, and then sits there doing nothing. It wont read the auto install disk.
I tried it more than one time, and for some reason one of the times I rebooted the screen read "Auto Install XX is formatting hard drives" or something like that. And it proceeded to format until it reached E:/ and then it froze so I turned it off.

Its giving me alternates of error 16 and error 13, and when I put a game disk in (backup or original) it gives me error 21. I suppose what I need to do is get a dashboard xbe on there, but its not reading auto install disks, and for some reason it wont even allow me to transfer files via FTP (which it let me do prior to this).

When I view the hard drive through flash fxp it has all the directories, but nothing in them. (C,D,E,G,X.. etc).

I read all I could about the different errors I'm recieving, and I'm still not able to get it back to working form. I'd appreciate any help I can get.

    ps.

If all of that is too confusing, then basically I just want to know how I can clear everything off the hard drive and start from scratch.

    Thanks again.

    Ok, lets start with basics...

I'd remove the chip and boot the console. See what it does.

Reinstall the chip, ensure that it's seated correctly and boot again. Do you notice any differences?

There's a chance your chip isn't working correctly.

Try Slayers again and, rebuild the stock HDD and install EvoX.

See if it'll work this time!

Thankyou. I'm not removing the chip, the chip is working fine.

However, I'm currently rebuilding with Slayer. It seems to be working, although formatting C is taking a really long time. Hope it ends well!
