Ok, I know this topic has been put up alot but I remember reading somewhere that there is a way to get rid of error 16 WITHOUT buying a modchip. If somebody could tell me what it was or give me an alternative.
Ok, I ended up getting my xbox to error 12 now, I think my xbox hdd is unlocked.....now all I have to do is get the files so I can flashfxp them to the xbox.

No, you see I did that on purpose.......unplugging the dvd drive automatically unlocks the hdd(error 16 does not"hdd is still locked")
Is there anyway I can find out the ip address of the xbox without having a dashboard so I can ftp the xbox?
