Hi all. Im very new to this modding stuff, so i need some help here. I've read a few things on this site and other sites as what to do about this error code 16. From what i read, i'm not crazy about hotswapping drives (unless its my last option). "2. This is the more easy and newbie friendly strategy -Get a friend with a modded xbox. -Unlock his hdd with eeprom management from a slayer evo-x cd. -Than, place his hdd in your xbox. -Boot with your chip on. -Now the xbox DOES find a dashboard when you boot in original mode and you can set the time in the msdashboard clock settings. -Shut off xbox and remove your friends hdd -PLace his hdd back in his xbox and lock it again -Install your hdd -(clock has been set) So boot up with slayer cd. -Install normally whatever you wanna install -lock hdd" Does this refer to a friend with a hardmodded xbox or a softmodded xbox? Because when it says boot with the chip on, that makes me think thats sumtin i don't have. I have friends with xboxs, but they're all softmodded already. What are my options other than hotswapping, if any? All help is greatly appreciated.
Hotswapping is your only option. Swapping hard drives from other boxes? From where did you get this info from? Don't follow that process because that method is erronous and unnecessary. That method that you are trying to flow may leave lead to broken boxes. Don’t worry about it. Just click on my sig and scroll down to where it says HOTSWAP.
