error 18 chipset/falsh isnt availiable (help please) need to get accurate reading from cpu temp

    im tring to flash my asrock k7vts bios and cpu is constantly overheating and turing off, i have 8 fans i have 4 case fans and 1 extractor unit so pc case is always cool but cpu fan is another issue, i couple of people say that asrock bios reading of cpu temp can be 10-15oc out so im just triing to up date bios to see it it makes any differnce, but every time i try and flash i get this fellowing message (i have downloaded a few different versions of the bios now and same message


    ERROR 18 CHISET/FLASH ISNT AVIALIBLE THE FUNCTION WILL BE INVALID

    did you disable the bios protection either in the bios or by a jumper? are you using the correct flash program??
