I have the same drive, an LG GSA-4120B, and I had trouble burning DL disks. The burn would fail at the start of the 2nd layer. The disks were quite cheap Tuffdisk ones, they seemed a bargain compared with some other brands which cost 2x more. I did some Googling and I found that many people have found that many DVD burners, not just LG, have trouble with the cheaper disks but work fine with Verbatim brand disks. I bought some Verbatims and everything has been fine, so I suggest that if you were not using Verbs to get some.
