Hello, The following is my latest error log. I have tried burning anywhere from 48x to 12x with no luck. I have also used two different kinds of discs (memorex and optimum). Following the log is a print screen of my IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers (there is no primary or secondary for some reason showing, is this right?) as I thought I had to turn DMA on but I can't find where. You have Nvidia controllers so they will show up differently and Nero does not report DMA correctly with them so you may be fine. Check device manager for the Nvidia controllers. Update the firmware to the latest - 9P59. Just pick your drive - DH20A4P - from the optical storage category. Link. Your getting just a generic write error in the log - could mean anything really and an error code Nero logs used to show a lot on older versions of their software. Update to package 1 and package 2 (if you use Recode and Vision) - link. Ritek (the one from this log) could be the manufacturer of both brands of cd's you tried so we can't really rule media out yet. ID the ones that you didn't use in this log. Pop a cd in then under Tools in SmartStart go to CD DVD Speed. Click on the disc info tab to identify the manufacturer. Anything change pc wise since you were last able to burn cds? BTW - Your cd compilation looks like one of my playlists w/ the exception of Rob Zombie - good taste! Oh and I edited out your serial # - don't need someone else using it.

Darn same friggin write error! Ok do this go to control panel>administrative tools>services. Scroll down to IMAPI CD-Burning - double click on it and in startup it should be set to manual or disabled. (mine are set to manual). Let's do a test w/ another program - try ImgBurn. It won't create a audio cd but it's free and pretty conflict free. Use the write files/folder to disc option. Add your mp3's. Click on 'test' - this will just simulate the burn won't actually burn anything to disc. If ImgBurn is a success give Windows Media a shot burning them. Anything change pc wise since you were last able to burn cd's?
To discount nero as the issue try imgeburn or whatever other burning software you have,just write a bit of data to a RW so not to make coasters,that's all i got as my normal reply would be reformat ,ok that'd be my second sugggestion after un-installing nero,clean the registry,defrag & reinstall,personally i found nero 6 to be quite good even when not updated & burning normal quality discs
Has anything changed? Well, I've gone through a graphics card (it died about 2 months ago). I also burned a dvd about 5 weeks ago. Since then, I haven't even touched my burner. I'll give what you guys said a try and let you know. Thanks guys!
Try one more thing - may be a long shot but hey dust does accumulate If you have a dvd lens cleaner run it through the burner to clean the lens or blow some canned air in the drive/burner.

I'm sorry. I forgot to tell you that I did check that in adminstrative tools, and it is set to manual. I'll try WMP and see what happens.
WMP got through about half of the songs and then said that it could not finish. It said to check the disk, make sure it's clean with no smudges. Bah this is frustrating.
It worked! I don't know how... I used Nero too. The only thing I can think of is I found a music specific Memorex CDR and tried it. I also used 16x (the lowest possible). Anyway...thank you for all your help! I really appreciate it! Have a nice night.
