Ive been trying everything i can do fix this problem without posting here but no luck. If i have to ill even reformat.
Could someone help me out with this problem? or am i in the wrong forum? or could someone point me to the right direction?
hi ,you are indeed in the right place. i subscribed to this one last night as didn't have time to answer it at the time. i've dropped your logfile into notepad and will see what falls out the bottom, back shortly....
- not this drive again!, i've seen this drive come up a few times here lately and still i can't find whether the firmware is up to date or not. - i haven't used these myself (have only just started using some G05's), i usually only use Verbatim datalifeplus and TY, and lately, the new Verbatim TY discs - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/229523 - splat!. sorry, i have to be feeble, 'fraid all i can suggest is to try different media. it looks like quite a new burner (sorry this is for my benefit when i search thru old posts, see here - http://newforums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/212635) so maybe that's why i can't find firmware for it... so without anything wrong in the logfile i can ony suggest trying better media
Much thanks for the quick reply! You are right, the burner is a newer model. I was hoping it was not the media as i am currently studying abroad is south korea. The school is located in the boons and it will be some time until i can go to the city to pick up some blank DVD's. I guess this is better then my burner breaking right? Thanks! JOJO
you're welcome. yup, it's better that it's the media. some people would rather throw there burner away than try different discs. let me know how you get on, i'll still be here no doubt when you try new discs or come back with more questions
