Error Code 39

    Hello Everyone,
    I need help my my HP DVD Writer 1040d and TSSTcorp CD-RW TS-H292B
    stopped working I went into device drivers and said it cannot load drivers file missing or corrupt (code 39)

    I try this and it did not work....
    "OK fixed the problem this is how you do it :"
    go to start
    run
    cmd
    type regedit
    in registry editor goto
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    right click upperfilters - delete
    right click lowerfilters -delete
    restart computer

    Can somebody please help me?

    Moved to appropriate forum.

    So deleting the upper and lower filters didn't resolve the problem?

    No it did not. I even remove them and reinstalled.

    I am also having the same problems. I have installed and reinstalled with no results. Can anyone help with this.
