Actually I just tried the same thing in winavi and it gives me the error of,"this video cannot be decoded, please send log to winavi@etc,etc.This is not encrypted. It has to be a setting I'm missing on my computer to allow this.I just want to put the loose change segments from 911 on a dvd to watch them. They are just free .wmv format videos that I downloaded.

    ,"this video cannot be decoded

That maybe due to the file you download.Make sure it can play on your pc,if not, maybe the file is broken.Or maybe you need some right decoder.Send them the log, they may help you fix that.
    good luck

Thank you for the reply.Actually they all played on windows media player9.Just look'n to kick back and not have to watch them on a computer.I think it may be the burner.I am in the process of installing an internal one.I will post back.

Actually I'm having all kinds of problems burning too using the computer that santa works on.I was just looking to use santa for converting files on one and burning on another to cut down on time.I think it may be a decoder problem also-I just have to figure out what I'm missing.Haven't found it yet.
