error copying files

    I burn my files and games on my cd/dvd and nero burns it nicely.i am having optiarc dvd 7190a installed dvd writer. but when i copy my files it says-
    the file cannot be copies due to an I/O device error. Sometimes even my nero says-
    DMA drive error,burn process failed.

    What kind of files are you trying to copy?

    Could you post a log from Nero?

    hmmm like loco says, but if both drives are on same eide cable need to set master and slave, to make drives individual locations, there conflicting by the sounds of it...

    i copy musc,data and i also copied one of my nero image file .nrg
    It got copied to some extent but then displayed the error. sometimes it gets copied and sometimes not. it just says- the request could not be performed due to an I/O error.
