error loading operating system randomly appearing

    hi all

    i am getting this message when i turn on my computer. It tries to boot from hardrive and fails and just says error loading operating sytem. I havnt changed anything or even downloaded anything. The night before i was simply using itunes, msn messenger, an internet explorer. Now i came to turn on my computer this morning and i get this message and i have searched it on google but stil am unsure as to what to do.

    Can anybody help
