here you go...gl http://modemhelp.net/oeerrors/oe_error_0x800ccc0e.shtml Error 0x800CCC0E 1. Can you get webpages? If so you may have the wrong mailserver typed in your account or the server may be down. 2. If you cannot get webpages hangup and try connecting again. 3. Reboot your computer and try again. 4. Still not working? Still not getting webpages? If so, treat as a normal "Not Moving Data" issue. (Check your DNS numbers, rip and reinstall TCP/IP, etc..)
First, logon to your outlook express account. It should look like this: Next, go to the drop down menu labeled tools and click on accounts: It should look like this: ^^On that window, click on the tab that says mail. When you click on that it should look like this: When there read the error message that pops up when you logon or click on send/recieve. Ex: If the error message says "The server POP3.east.cox.net could not be found" you will want to click on the account under the mail tab labeled POP3.east.cox.net. If the error message says a different server than what my example is then click on the account or name that has the server that the error message says. When that account or name is highlighted click on the properties tab. Then look at the bottom of that windows and it should say "Include this account when Recieving or syncrinizing mail": Uncheck that box and then click on either "Apply or OK". ^^If that is not your problem then this could also be the problem: You might have another account which is unused and has the box labeled "include this account when recieving or syncrinizing mail" checked. You will want to uncheck this box. Do the same to any unused account that has that box checked. Your problem could be one other thing. Also your problem could be that another boxed is checked that is called "logon using Secure Password Authentication". To uncheck this box you will want to go to the account with the word next to it that says "mail(default): You will want to go to the properties of that account by clicking on the properties button and when that windows pops up you will need to click on the tab at the top call servers. At the bottom of that window there should be a box called "logon using Secure Password Authentication": ^Uncheck that box and your issue should be solved Hope that helps you! -thank you
