I keep getting the error message "the disk could not be read from or written to" whenever I try to add a file to Itunes or even to quicktime! All the permissions seem to be ok when I do "get info" so I don't get it! HELP! The only thing I did different was try to download the World of Warcraft demo from Intel site and it told me to change some port thing on my firewall(?!?) I don't see what one would have to do with the other though and I have since changed it back. Man, I wish this thing had system restore!

It's not in the list of macOS errors. It seems to be realted to an ipod error/itunes error. Do you have itunes software installed. It looks to me a little like the OS is trying to find an ipod connected and failing because there isn't.

Other than that I don't know what to suggest apart from asking in the specialist mac forums. Don't format your drive yet as there will be a mac specific cure for this. Explore the possibilities.

I think you will get more expert help here http://www.macfixitforums.com/

I'm tired of warning you tablet. Recommending someone wipe their hard drive in order to solve a simple question and pad your post count again is more than I'm willing to tolerate.
