Errors while trying to burn .avi's to dual layer dvd's using nero and decrypter

    ok, i have been coming to afterdawn and reading alot of the posts in the forums to try to learn how to use my dual layer burner for large .avi movies i have stored on my hard drive. i followed all the directions for various ways of doing this from using avi2dvd to make an .iso to either decrypter or nero burning rom 6.6.0.8 to try and burn the iso. what i come to using both is an error early into the burn process. following is a copy of the log from nero >

    also i know what my firmware version is and all that, and went to lite-on to check for a new version of firmware, found what looked to be an update flash, but when i tried to run it it said that my drive was not located, that it wasn't the correct version, but as you can see in the log from nero, it specifically lists my model and firmware version so thats the firmware flash i downloaded. so far i have wasted 4 HP DVD+R doublelayer disc's.. i have no troubles burning sl but the dl's are proving troublesome and my writer is supposed to do dl's. HELP PLEASE!

    First u [bold]NEED[/bold] to remove ur Serial # at the top of the post it starts with 1A, hit the edit button which is the Pen/pencil and paper at the top right.

    U can try this website for ur firmware update, u r about 3 updates behind.

    Second, i am confused about the burn log, i believe that it is a burn log for burning a CD not a DVD

    The firmware might help with this media u are currently using, [bold]HOWEVER[/bold] these are not good quality disks, the best DL media is Verbatims without a doubt.

    you mean my firmware is out of date? as far as the dics go, its just cuz its the only brand they had at my local wal-mart, do you know of any stores where the verbatim disks are sold? i am in the southwest area of missouri

    ok , some time back i started this thread and as stupid as it sounds couldn't at the time figure out how to update my burners firmware.
    last night i figured it out and have now updated my firmware and i have also purchased a few verbatim dvd+r dl discs to try and still burn .avi movies to them. When i started up nero last night and have also updated to nero 7 3.5.2.1 . Anyways, i tried to burn to avi's last night (they put the disc right up to 8gb.'s) and then clicked to burn. well it acted like it was going to do it so i went to bed as it was pretty late. When i got up this morning, it was still exactly where i left it, preparing the disc. can someone help me know what i did wrong, cuz bowlers instructions from b4 i thought i followed them pretty well. please help!
