First of all I would just like to Hi to all, had a wee look about the forum and have to say I'm well impressed.

Anyway seen quite a lot of info on this EV Red, I have just got a hold of one for a mate and have had nothing but bother with the dam thing, seems ok when I first switch the box on but after about an hour it begins to loose various channels and the audio, don't think this is a software or firmware prob as I have tried most out there, so have come the conclusion that there is a problem with the tuner on the box because I have a blue box and it works fine, no probs at all, then they bring out this red box and change things ?,and not for the good !!.

So my question is, does anyone else have this type of problem and do they have the solution apart from binning the box and going for the black box just out ? (not got a lot of confidence in these new boxes now).

Thanks in advance for any help

    Hello There,

By what you are saying I dont think its a tuner issue but I could be wrong. The first thing I would check is to make sure all connection I.E in line, out line, scarts etc are all properly fitted and do a reboot, if this does not resolve issue I would do a factory reset and then reinstall the firmware which you will find a link in my signature below. I have recently uploaded the blue firmware so I know it is def there. But try the obvious stuff first connections rescan , reboot before you go doing a factory reset and stuff. Check the signal also as if you have more than 1 box in your house the signal maybe to weak meaning you will need 1 of these:

    Hope this helps.
